North West Cambridgeshire MP Shailesh Vara has been re-appointed to the government position he held before the last election.
Mr Vara will continue working at the Justice Ministry as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State.
His responsibilities will include courts and tribunals, legal aid, administrative justice and legal services.
Mr Vara is serving a third term in parliament after winning his seat ealrier this month with over 50 per cent of the vote.
He said: “I am delighted to be reappointed as a justice minister. I am particularly looking forward to continuing with my previous responsibilities where there is still much work to be done.”
