North West Cambridgeshire MP Shailesh Vara has been named as a Minister at the Department for Work and Pensions.

Mr Vara, who was appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice in 2013, will now take up the role of Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Work and Pensions, having been given the role by Prime Minister David Cameron.

I am delighted to have been appointed by the Prime Minister as a Minister in the Department for Work and Pensions. I am also very pleased that I will be able to continue my work in the Ministry of Justice

He will continue in his role at the Ministry of Justice.
