Residents in central Peterborough may be eligible to receive up to £6,000 for energy efficiency improvements to their properties.
These grants are currently available on a first come, first served basis, so people need to act soon before the money runs out.
If you are a home-owner, or a landlord with properties, in the area marked on the map here, then you are eligible to apply for up to £6,000 towards improving your home.
The grant is available to help you pay for external wall insulation.
External wall insulation can help you save money on your energy bills and can also help increase the value of your property. Your home will look better and feel warmer in the winter months.
The first step is to arrange for a home assessment to find out if you qualify for the insulation. The first 1,000 assessments for eligible properties are available free on a no obligation basis.
Peterborough City Council is working with two energy efficiency specialists, Mark Group and E.ON, to help residents make their homes more energy efficient.
You can find out more at the Mark Group’s community event at the The Focus Centre on Thursday, June 4 from 3pm to 7pm and the Gladstone Community Centre on Thursday, June 18 from 3.30pm to 7pm.
All residents are invited to attend and ask questions about the scheme. E.ON will hold a community event at the Gladstone Community Centre on Friday, June 19 from 11am to 5pm.
