Generous fundraisers from across Peterborough have been dancing, baking and cycling to raise hundreds of pounds for Comic Relief.

Children and workers across the city have been joining in the national fundraising event, which supports charities across Britain and Africa.

Staff from Taylor Rose Law held a sponsored cycle ride on exercise bikes in Queensgate, while staff at Sainsbury’s in Bretton took part in a giant conga to raise vital pounds for the cause.

Schools across the city allowed pupils to come in non-uniform, with a variety of events and activities to add to Peterborough’s efforts.

The telethon, which takes place every two years, will be shown on BBC television this evening (Friday).
