Top junior footballers hit Bridge Street to raise awareness of Fairtrade sports balls and how they help make a difference to the people who stitch them.
The Peterborough Co-operative Party teamed up with FC Peterborough outside Town Hall and the players put on a skilful display for shoppers with their Bala Fairtrade footballs.
Imtiaz Ali, manager of FC Peterborough, said: “It was great being part of an event raising awareness for Fairtrade.
“And it’s pleasing to see a Pakistan based company like Bala Sport adopting the Fairtrade standards for fair pay and decent working conditions for their employees.”
He added: “The balls were excellent and our academy kids had a great time showing off their skills and handing out leaflets.”
