Peterborough doughs nuts for Krispy Kreme!

Its opening gridlocked Hampton's roads at times - not surprising as Peterborough's new Krispy Kreme outlet saw almost 12,000 people through the doors in its first week.

The Hotlight store - with a production hub and 24-hour drive-thru, saw 11,182 visitors stopping by in its first seven days and snapping up 13,489 doughnuts.

Best-selling flavours include the exciting new Nutty Chocolatta, featuring Nutella, white chocolate swirls and caramelised hazelnuts, and Krispy Kreme’s famous favourite, the Signature Hot off the Line Original Glazed.

Peterborough dought fans proved to be a generous lot too, with 2,524 sharing dozens sold in this hectic first week, as customers look to share their sweet treats with colleagues, family and friends.

The summer heatwave also seems to have had an impact, with the Chocolate Dream Shake and Mango Chiller among the most popular of the 7,827 drinks sold, both in-store and via the drive-thru.
