Peterborough Cathedral chorister Thomas L’Estrange (11) has been selected as the Plaisterers’ Chorister for 2015/2016

The Worshipful Company of Plaisterers - a livery company which regulates the quality of plastering in the City of London - funds a Peterborough Cathedral chorister every year. Thomas will wear the Plaisterers’ Medal on special occasions, such as when the choir visits London to sing at the Plaisterers’ Carol Service.

Auditions for new choristers to join the Cathedral Choir from September 2016 are on November 9 for boys and November 11 for girls between 9am and 3pm. The Voice Trials are open to children in school Year Two. Each child should prepare a piece of music to sing at the audition.

Choristers are educated at The King’s (The Cathedral) School and serve in the choir from Year Three until the end of Year Eight. To attend call 01733 355318 or email penny.wood@peterborough-cathedral.org.uk.
