Have your say

Why listen to Vaughan, Strauss , Cork, Carberry or any other ex player from the last 23 years? None of them got anywhere close to winning cricket’s World Cup. And don’t be fooled into thinking that Kevein Pietersen would have made a difference. England would still be coming home, they’d just be even unhappier.

@Bendyakhtar

Michael Vaughan was a useless cricketer and he’s a useless pundit.

@AzGThornhill

I’ll take an Ashes whitewash if it gets rid of Peter Moores.

@Poshcricketer

England’s World Cup campaign should be considered a success as we scored over 300 against Scotland.

@LittleLeight

Too many football matches are decided by the mood of the referee. Michael Oliver was determined to be the star of the show at Old Trafford the other night.

Tim Sherwood is the Balotelli of football management.

You kinda wouldn’t want him near your club, but it’s entertaining to have him back.

Dan Cushing

Sherwood brought players into the Spurs team - Bentaleb, Mason, Rose, Kane - who are now forming the backbone of the squad and will be that way for years to come. Judging a manager’s first two games with a thoroughly underwhelming side like Villa is all too harsh.

Even as a local player myself, I found I agreed with your piece on rugby union. It’s all high kicks and waiting for a fumble.
