Have your say

William Smith (letters last week), you are being unfair to Swanny. He did join in the campaign to get rid of Fergie. In one of his articles he said Fergie should go - but only if Mourinho was available to take on the job.

Since then he has not expressed an opinion about Fergie at all despite being challenged to do so both before and after Fergie left.

So much for the fearless voice of journalism but I do suppose it is hard to use a laptop whilst sitting on a fence.

We want to hear true impartial comment about local teams, but it should not include drivel about managers like Mourinho being the only person fit to take over from Fergie.

Get real Swanny! If you want to be controversial then be controversial about the local issues which matter to the local people.

Cricket is a team game. Kevin Pietersen is not a team player. End of argument.

Snoozy

The amount of cheating in El Clasico was embarrassing.

@Sibley11

You don’t see Lionel Messi dive that often. He stays on his feet and wants to score

@adamdrury78

Neymar is the most over-rated player on the plant.

@peterdickinson7

Football gets more disgraceful by the week. El Clasico was another example.

@Johnlamin

Sunderland are the worst team to watch in the Premier League and Gus Poyet should take the blame for that. I hope they go down though and Burnley stay up.
