Letter: 'I wouldn't want to live near multicolored eco-village' - 06/02/10

The illustration of some of the planned homes looks like children's multicoloured building blocks. They don't even look like houses.

The Peterborough Core Strategy Development Plan reports, (in Transport 4.6), ''It was felt that congestion was becoming an increasing problem in Peterborough and that certain parts of the highway network were under considerable strain. It was felt that all the additional housing and developments at the South Bank and North Westgate would only exacerbate the problem''.

Once again, public consultation and advice ignored.

I would like to see the riverside landscaped with amenities, including coffee shops and interest shops. Maybe a transport museum in the old mill and a small urban farm for tourism. A few larger houses overlooking, then a few small industrial units behind that, and maybe extra parking for the football ground.
