ALL you budding young photographers it's time to dust off your cameras and get snapping for a really wild competition.Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) and Royal Haskoning are running a photography contest called "Our Changing Environment".
The competition is being run as part of Peterborough's annual Green Festival when there will be two weeks packed full of green activities and events, starting on Saturday, May 24 in Cathedral Square.
There are five categories to enter, but we think most of you will be in the 11 to 16-year-old group.
You need to get your entries in by May 20, and if you are really lucky you might even get to see your photo featured in the city-wide exhibition.
There is also the chance to win one of the amazing prizes, which include 500 worth of vouchers to spend in a leading photography store, subscriptions to Practical Photography magazine, and day of work experience with a professional photographer.
As the name implies, the theme of the competition is "our changing environment", which can be anything you want to it to mean.
The theme is deliberately broad, as the judges will be looking for imaginative interpretations as well as moving and well-planned photography.
There are five categories of entry: ages 11-16; ages 17-25; ages 26-beyond; professional photographer and business.
For full details and the rules of entry visit www.greenenergyswitch.com/competitions
Winning entries will be displayed in Peterborough Town Hall throughout the Green Festival.
