Easter fun at the mueum

CHILDREN looking for something to do over the Easter holidays are being encouraged to head to Peterborough Museum.

CHILDREN looking for something to do over the Easter holidays are being encouraged to head to Peterborough Museum.Throughout the holidays, the museum, in Priestgate, in the city centre, is running a variety of Easter activities. The events, which have been designed to keep young people entertained, include dragon egg hunts and craft sessions.

Children taking part in the egg-hunt will be challenged to find a series of hidden clues and letters around the museum, and those who complete the hunt successfully can claim a chocolate egg.

The free Easter-themed family craft

sessions will be held every morning between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

After the sessions, families are invited to look round the museums exhibitions and displays.

Visitors can explore the Minotaurs' labyrinth or come face-to-face with a dragon, as well as discover the origins behind many of famous stories.

Museum visitor services and marketing manager for Peterborough City Council Stuart Orme said: "Easter is always a busy time for us

and we are delighted to arrange these activities, which offer great

family entertainment for our visitors."

The museum is closed tomorrow, but is open on bank holiday Monday from noon until 4pm.

It will be open all week from 10am to 5pm.

Admission to the museum and the activities is free but there is a fee of 50p per child for the dragon egg hunt.

For more information about the Easter activities, call 01733 343329, or visit www.peterboroughheritage.
