Graham Brighty, (56), joined Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service in July 1988 and retired in December after serving his community for 26 years.

A presentation was held at Wisbech Fire Station and a firefighting figurine was presented to Graham by Area Commander Maurice Moore in recognition of his service to Wisbech and the surrounding communities. The on-call crew also presented flowers to his wife.

Watch Commander Phil Pilbeam said: “It was a pleasure working with Graham and he was a great firefighter.”
