A motorcyclist who died in a collision near Glatton yesterday has today (July 7) been named by police.

Christopher John Arnett, (60), of Blackthorn Court, The Fold, Coates, Whittlesey, was seriously injured in the crash and later died in hospital.

He was riding a 1000cc blue and white Suzuki GSXR motorbike, which was in collision with a black Volkswagen Golf car at about 10.20am in Glatton Ways, about half way between the A1 and Glatton.

The driver of the car, a 43-year-old man from Diss, in Norfolk, was not injured.

Police are also re-appealing for anyone who saw the collision, or either vehicle involved just prior, to contact PC Ian Gray, at the road policing unit, on 101.
