Miss Peterborough makes Miss England finals

SHE wowed judges to become Miss Peterborough, but now Sarah Stone wants to be the nation’s most beautiful woman.
The 24-year-old blonde has made it to the final of Miss England, beating 20 other girls in the semi-finals. They competed in tests, including an eco-round.
Stunning Sarah, from Boston, showed her green credentials by wearing a dress made of recycled material by students at City College Peterborough, in Brook Street. Now, she will be one of 60 girls vying for the coveted Miss England crown in the final on September 1. For the first time in 22 years, the contest will be screened on TV on The Active Channel, Sky Channel 281.
She said: “Hopefully I can win because it’s the ultimate dream for me. I just want to do Peterborough proud.
Sarah, a business development manager, was named Miss Peterborough following a ceremony at the Holiday Inn West, in Thorpe Wood, in March.

Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:12 AMStill Sarah is an intelligent and very pretty girl but she has tried for Miss Manchester while she was at Uni, Miss England (Stockport Express Newspaper, been in FHM (google: sarah stone stockport express)) and now she's Miss Peterborough even though she comes from Boston and works in Stockport and lives in Manchester. I know its only like a representative of the city but couldn't they find anyone local?
