Lucky escape after collision leads to Newborough crash

A woman escaped unhurt after her car rolled into a ditch on the A16 in Newborough.

The white Fiat 500, being driven by an 18-year-old woman, crashed into the ditch near the roundabout with the B1443 at about 9.25am on Thursday, February 26.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said the car had been in a collision with a white Mercedes Benz V 4000.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue services were called to help rescue the driver of the Fiat 500.

The police spokesman confirmed no-one was injured in the crash.
