Longthorpe Tower was full of medieval characters at the weekend.
Boys and girls were able to take part in ‘How to be a Princess’ and ‘How to be a knight’ sessions on both Saturday and Sunday.
The sessions included medieval dancing and taking part in a soldier’s drill.
Visitors could find out what the Lord of the Manor was having for dinner and also learn to write with a quill with a monk from the abbey or see the barber surgeon for a cure of any ailment they might have.
Some of the lucky children who got to experience life as a princess were Tilly Baillie (5), Charlotte-Mae Bloom (5), Millie Prentice (6) and Emily-Jo Bloom (9).
