Have your say

This week’s selection of pictures features scene shots of some of our city’s best known streets.

I have very little information (other than the locations) about the pictures but I would guess they date back to the late 1800s/early 1900s.

Some are easier to identify than others but why not test your knowledge? To help I’ll give you some clues.

Picture 1: This street is now home to one of the city’s fire stations.

Picture 2: This was and is a bustling city centre street. There’s a giveaway on one of the shop signs.

Picture 3: This street is home to the city’s oldest school which was established centuries before this picture was taken.

Picture 4: This was and remains today one of the most desireable residential streets in the city.

Picture 5: This street is home to a church which shares its name.

Picture 6: This is a street in Millfield but I don’t know which. The windmill is probably a big clue.

If you know the answers drop me an email (no prizes, just for fun, I’m afraid).

I’ll identify 1-5 next week and hopefully with your help also picture 6.
