King's School pupils were left bowled over when former England cricket captain Alec Stewart visited their school to give them batting tips.
King's School pupils were left bowled over when former England cricket captain Alec Stewart visited their school to give them batting tips.Stewart visited the King's School, in Park Road, Peterborough, last week to talk to children about the importance of team work and his cricketing career. He also played cricket with the school's cricketing team, handing tips on how to improve its performance.
PE teacher James Stubbs said: "Clydesdale Bank, which Alec is an ambassador for, approached us to see if we wanted him to pay us a visit.
"We were delighted and it was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to meet an international cricketer. We also invited some pupils from Jack Hunt and John Fisher schools.
"They were also able to pose for photographs and get autographs. He was brilliant and really nice to the pupils."
