THERE are just a few knitting weeks remaining before the deadline for Age Concern Peterborough to send in its bobble hats for The Big Knit 2010.
Age UK (the new force combining Age Concern and Help the Aged), Innocent and Sainsbury’s are calling for all knitters in Peterborough to ramp up their efforts to raise more money for local people in later life this winter.
The charity also needs help counting, sorting and checking the hats before they can send them on. They are inviting people to the Lindens in Lincoln Road on Wednesday, September 8 and Tuesday, September 14. Anyone interested in coming along is asked to call us on 01733 564185.
