A generous Peterborough organisation raised more than £120 for cancer charity Sue Ryder.

Staff at I3 Media, in Vicarage Farm Road, Fengate, dressed up for a charity fundraising day at their office on 14 December.

Thomas Stocks, content and PR consultant, said: “We thought it was a different way to enjoy our Christmas party and it helps people out at the same time.

“Sue Ryder is local and stands for a good cause. We believe it needs investment.”

There were many interesting choices of character, including cartoon characters, villains and circus performers.

Mr Stocks said: “I dressed up in a Mickey Mouse costume, which I handmade myself. This makes it more fun and of course, it is the cheaper option.”

Staff went out to collect money from local businesses in Flag Business Exchange.

Alison Toomey, regional fundraiser for Sue Ryder, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at I3 Media for coming up with a brilliant idea for raising money for us this festive period.

“We are really grateful that they incorporated fundraising into their Christmas celebrations and the money they raised will go towards our ongoing fundraising for Thorpe Hall Hospice.

“It certainly sounds like everyone got in the spirit and had a very interesting day.”
