Reader Philip Green sent this picture of the Spar shop in Crowland after thieves used a JCB to remove the cash machine.

Thieves have stolen a cash machine in Crowland after ram-raiding the front of a shop with a JCB this morning (Friday, October 5).

The ATM at the Spar shop in North Street was removed by three offenders using a yellow JCB, believed to have been taken from a nearby farm, shortly after 1am.

The JCB was abandoned at the scene, while the cash machine was taken away on the back of a silver pick-up style vehicle. Another car, possibly blue, was also involved and left the scene at the same time.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who haven’t already been spoken to officers to come forward.

Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police by dialling 101 and quoting the incident number. Report crimes anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
