A team-of-seven from Glinton raised £4,000 in memory of Liam Pridmore during a 150-mile cycle ride.

Paul Sambells, Wayne Pearman, David Gregg, Richard Sanders, John O’Connell and Trevor Stilgrove, with support from Gary Reid, carried out the bike ride from Glinton to Brighton in August.

The money will go to the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust and the charity challenge was completed in memory of Liam Pridmore, a 12-year-old boy from Peakirk who died earlier this year after a brave battle against cancer.

Mr Sambells (44) said: “I’d like to say thank you to our family, friends and local businesses who sponsored us.”
