Don’t miss the LovePets Show on 28/29 October at the Showground:

Tickets will be available on the gate for this weekend’s animal extravaganza at Peterborough’s East of England Showground.

Make sure your child returns to school on Monday with lots of wonderful tales from their visit to the second LovePets show in the city.

The showground’s indoor Exec arena will be home to everything from cats to cockatiels and reptiles to rabbits both tomorrow and Sunday.

Some of the extra special visitors will include the world famous chatty parrot Gizmo (he loves posing for photos), Ptolemy the giant tortoise, Pippa Langhorne and Buddy from Britain’s Got Talent, and Smokey, the cat who holds the Guinness World Record record for the world’s loudest purr.

Meet like-minded animal lovers as well as experts who can advise on exercise, nutrition and other aspects of animal care.

The host for this year’s show is Marc Abraham, widely recognised as resident vet on ITV’s This Morning and voted the UK’s Favourite Vet.

Also appearing will be dog trainer to the stars, Karen Wild, described as the ‘Rock Star of Dog Training’ with numerous celebrity clients including journalist Dawn Porter and TV presenter Davina McCall.

In addition to exhibitor stands, there will be a large range of interactive demonstrations and presentations from pet experts and professional pet organisations. There’s lots of competitions to enter as well, all with fantastic prizes.

Although visitors can’t take their own pets into the venue, there will be plenty of animals inside wanting their attention.

On the day ticket prices for the event, which runs from 10am to 4.30pm, are: family ticket at £18 (two adults and up to three children); adults £10; seniors and students £5; five to 16-year-olds £3; under 5s get in free. Parking for the pet exhibition is completely free. If you’re quick, cheaper advance tickets may still be on sale from www.lovepetsshow.co.uk.
