Hamptons: Half term fun for young at library
A SERIES of events will be held at Hampton Library next month to keep youngsters occupied during half term holidays.
A SERIES of events will be held at Hampton Library next month to keep youngsters occupied during half term holidays. The library, at Serpentine Green shopping centre, will host the Green Balloon Club's Watch The Birdie event, on February 17, from 11am to noon.
The free session is for children aged from three to seven and will see youngsters learning about the different birds found in city gardens.
On February 20, there will be a Wacky Winter Olympics event for youngsters aged seven to 11.
The session is being run to coincide with the Winter Olympics taking place in Vancouver, Canada.
It will see a variety of games linked to the sporting events taking place during the competition.
The session will run from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, and is free.
Places are limited and should be booked in advance at the library.

There will also be half term activities at the Sure Start Activity Centre in Hargate Community Room, Hargate Way, between February 15 and 19.
On February 15, there will be a family cooking session between 10am and 3.30pm.
The following day will see a family sports session between 10.30am and noon.
On February 17, families are invited to a jewellery making afternoon between 1pm and 3pm.
On February 18, there will be an environment and safety afternoon which will be held from noon until 3pm.
The week will finish on February 19 with a "family funky dance" at the centre.
