From model to massage
A former top model in America has now launched his own professional massage therapy and sports massage business at his home in Hassocks.
Jeremy Haynes, 32, left school at 16 and took a one-way ticket to Miami. There his modelling work launched him into the world of fashion and TV commercial assignments.
In 1995 Jeremy s career took a different tack when he chose to train as a remedial therapist taking diplomas in anatomy, physiology and body massage and a gymnasium instructors course. After qualifying he was unexpectedly offered a top sales position with a duty free retailer.
When duty free was abolished in 1999, Jeremy was made redundant and he decided to move back into alternative medicine, including aromatherapy and reflexology. He has set up a clinic in his Hassocks home, although he is frequently called upon to work as a mobile therapist.
