Three men have been given suspended jail terms after assaulting police officers in a Whittlesey hotel in March 2012.

Philip Rawlings (45), of Station Road, Whittlesey, David Rawlings (51), of Swallow Close, Whittlesey, and Michael Pulford (30), of Horsegate Lane, Whittlesey, turned on a doorman after being asked to leave the George Hotel in Whittlesey on 3 March 2012.

They followed him into the Market Place where two officers tried to calm the situation down. But the men then turned on the officers.

All three were found guilty of affray after a trial, while Philip Rawlings was also convicted of common assault. Phillip Rawlings was sentenced to 46 weeks’ imprisonment, the other two were given 36 weeks, with all three sentences suspended for two years.
