Live match updates: Johnson keeping cool ahead of Tranmere v Posh

Peterborough United boss Gary Johnson has ordered his players to keep their feet firmly on the ground despite their promising start to the League One season.
Johnson takes his side to struggling Tranmere tomorrow (3pm kick-off) confident that they can follow up last week’s excellent win at Plymouth with another victory.
Posh are second in League One behind Sheffield Wednesday and their attacking style of play has earned them rave reviews, but Johnson insists the table won’t tell a true story for another few weeks.
Johnson said: “‘I expected Sheffield Wednesday to be up there, I expected Southampton to be closer, but it is who is up there challenging after 10 games that is going to be important because by then you will have played a cross-section of the teams in this league.
“Tranmere haven’t had a great start and they lost after penalties in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy this week, but they are still a dangerous team.
“They have brought in a few young loan players this week to bolster the squad and they will be tough opposition. We don’t know too much about their new players, but we have had them watched and we will know what to expect by kick-off time.
“It is an important fixture because we want to remain in the top two of the division, but it’s also important to respect the opposition particularly away from home.
“The home team will always give it a go and put on a performance in front of their own fans, but my players have showed they react well to a defeat and that demonstrates good character to go with the outstanding ability.”
Johnson will make a late decision on his starting line-up. He wants to involve skipper Grant McCann, but that will depend on how much action he sees in Northern Ireland’s European Championship qualifier in Slovenia this evening.
Centre-back Gaby Zakuani will be at Tranmere after failing to link up with the DR Congo squad in time for their African Nations Cup qualifier against Cameroon tomorrow night.
Right-winger Chris Whelpdale is expected to take his place on the substitutes’ bench for the first time this season after recovering from an ankle injury as Nathaniel Mendez-Laing will be absent after picking up a knock in training.
