Your Posh views: on Posh player form, transfer targets, the future

Peterborough United news and match coverage.

On Posh player form . . .

David Ball had one chance and scored one goal. He deserves a chance in the team. We need a striker who can put the ball in the back of the net.

Please please drop Joe Lewis and Lee Tomlin. They are liabilities. Lewis is a complete donkey and should empty his locker and should never play for the Posh again.

FenlandPosh

I wish we could have signed Sam Baldock. It’s so obvious that Ball, Taylor and Sinclair are not good enough for the Championship.

UndergroundErnie

Lewis should go. Sinclair rubbish. Tomlin a liability. Fergie, it’s time you woke up to the facts.

Rosie’s Mum

Rowe, Sinclair and Tomlin are liabilities.

Lewis, as 80 per cent of us know, is the best shot-stopper outside the Premier League, but the rest of his game is rubbish.

How somebody so unfit, childish and petulant as Tomlin can be called a professional footballer is beyond me.

Sinclair plain and simple isn’t Championship quality and will never be.

Danhar

Signing young hungry players is one thing, but Tomlin has taken the hungry bit out of context.

Passingwino

Tomlin is playing like a hung-over pub footballer.

Pottyborough

I have defended Lewis and stated that Tomlin will come good. Wrong and wrong.

DonB

Tomlin needs dropping, sending to a health farm and a soccer academy and obedience school. Then sent back to Northampton.

Henryjames

Bring Jones back Fergie. It’s Lewis who’s tired now, and we’re tired of Lewis.

Mean Mr Mustard

When will Tomlin learn to keep his mouth shut? He’s an absolute liability. Lewis has once again failed to impress any club watching him. He’s had his chance and should now be replaced by Jones.

Gilroy

Give David Ball more of a chance. Rather him than Emile Sinclair.

Rossyontherock

Everyone is questioning Fergie’s selections.

You all haven’t got a clue. We have not seen training all week, half of you that comment don’t even go to the game and booing players before the teamsheet is even announced is hardly a confidence boost.

Tomk

Ryan Tunnicliffe on Twitter said: “Quick apology to the boro fans today. My first half performance was SHOCKING!”

What humility and respect from a fantastic player and young man. Ryan was far from the worst. In fact he is fantastic with a very mature and fantastic attitude.

diveidivedive0

Reportedly, Joe Lewis has in effect stated: ‘I will sign a contract only if I receive an assurance that I am number one keeper.’

Regardless of how he is perceived ability wise, that is not acceptable. The manager has now had a great opportunity to look at Joe under pressure, the general consensus among fans is that Joe has failed to shine. We now have to wait for the manager’s findings. I have the feeling that Norwich mugged us.

DonB

We need to cut our losses with Lewis and Sinclair and get rid. In his post-match interview Fergie was as scathing as diplomacy permitted about Lewis.

Tomlin threw the ball at the ref and should have been red carded. Tomlin should shape up or ship out.

Kermit

Take some positives out of the match. Newell improves every time he plays.

Growler

Opposing teams have sussed Tomlin out as a loose cannon. They only need to keep niggling at him and hey presto they are under his skin.

He should learn to count to 10, treat himself to a smile, and start enjoying football, instead of winding himself and his team mates up.

He’s got to realise nobody listens to a moaner, and should let his feet do the talking.

Bringbackjimhall

On Posh transfer targets . . .

Don’t know if he is available even on loan, but Steve Howard of Leicester City would be a good signing.

Pottyborough

That 50pts is looking a long way away. Would like to see someone bigger, stronger and more mobile with an eye for goal at the top of that diamond.

Passingwino

We should try and get Kennedy back from Leicester for a start, either on loan or permanently as Alcock is much better, and better than Little, at right back.

FenlandPosh

On the future . . .

Cheer up everybody. It’s February and we still have a decent points buffer from the bottom three.

We have some great young players, a youth system beginning to come good, an ambitious owner and management, even the stadium’s being tidied up.

The future is very bright!

Awd

Having listened to Fergie’s comments, I have a feeling he’ll be sorting out a few things, even if it means going out and buying some decent talent.

We have to keep faith in Fergie and the chairman that they’ll do what is necessary. We only need on average a point a game and survival will be achieved.

This is a rubbish website

Fergie is still doing a good job. No-one thought we would be where we are at this stage of season. All clubs have bad patches.

Keep the faith we will find our form.

Gilroy

Tomlin is a no go fat mouthy over weight slob, Sinclair's all huff and puff in two minds when on the ball when he does choose what to do its the wrong choicel, We have got worse by the week since lewis returned he would have been snapped up long ago if he was any good, my local pub team have gone off the idea of signing him signing him would be a liability.
