Letter: Century Square Drug Issues - A lot of work is being done to solve problem

RE: Century Square Drug Issues, reported in the Evening Telegraph on February 6,

I am just letting you know that youth teams are working together to deal with these issues.

Letters have been sent out to residents to say that we have asked for the basketball pitch to be locked.

I myself have been out with a PCSO at night to speak with young people and give out details of youth activities.

We are following up this work to reduce anti-social behaviour. We need to understand why it it happening, what provisions need putting in place, and seek council support for this as well as seek support and continuation of the good work that is already being done.

It has not solved the problem yet, but with this continued level of work, things will get better.
