Letter: No grot spot in Burystead - 03/07/09
IT may interest the reader to know that if the Probation Service did bring an offenders' clean-up team to Burystead, as reported, they would have sat under a tree having a picnic, as there isn't, and never was, a "grot spot" to be seen.

The graffiti was on the notice board in Church Street Gardens and all the way down Church Lane up to the allotments.
Also, it was all the way along the fence backing on to the marina.
Being temporarily housebound due to an accident, I have no idea what the clean-up team did, but if they removed it all then they're due respect and grateful thanks.
Without the rubbish and scrawls it is a lovely walk behind the church, as well as a shortcut to town.
