Authors inspire pupils in literature week

Pupils from Years 7 and 8 took part in workshops run by the literary organisation which invited the authors of books the pupils have been reading over the last six months, to the school.

The author workshops discovered more about the making of the books, how to become an author and character development.

Tricia Toone, an English teacher at Ormiston Bushfield Academy said: “Since October last year, pupils from Years 7 and 8 have been reading books from a variety of authors, so for them to be given the chance to meet the authors face-to-face is rare and we’d like to thank Pop-Up for this opportunity.”
