A new head of midwifery has been appointed at Peterborough City Hospital.

Fran Gregory has taken up the role for Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust having previously been Matron for Maternity at Lincoln County Hospital.

Fran said: “I am delighted to have joined Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals as the Head of Midwifery at a time when maternity services are high on the NHS agenda.

“The excellent facilities for the women and babies of Peterborough and the surrounding area have been enhanced by the safe, quality care that is delivered on a daily basis. I look forward to working with the multi-disciplinary team to further develop the service in conjunction with the women and their families.”

Jo Bennis, Chief Nurse, said: “On behalf of the Board of Directors I would like to welcome Fran to her new role. She joins us at a time when our services are growing and our unit at Peterborough City Hospital is becoming increasingly busy. We look forward to working with her as we continue to develop our services for women and their babies.”
