New homes sought for stray pets
New homes are desperately needed for some long-stay animals currently in the care of the RSPCA Peterborough and District Branch.
December was a really good re-homing month for the branch, but there are still an unlucky few animals that are urgently seeking a new family.
Milo, a black, grey and white cat, has been in the centre since July and is one of the animals that is in most desperate need of a new home.
He came in to the RSPCA in very poor condition but has put on weight after receiving good care in a private boarding facility and staff are hoping he will be adopted as soon as possible.
Manager Paul Markley said: “It is really sad for Milo to still be waiting for a home after all this time. He really is a very friendly cat.
“He is only three years old and still has a lot of love to give to any new family that wants him.”
Other long-stay animals in need of a home include Pixie, who is a very affectionate and quite vocal cat.
Mr Markley said Pixie is a domestic short-hair crossbreed who is about 11 years old. She has been in the centre for about three months.
Also in need of a new home are guinea pigs Billy and Benny, and Ken the Ferret, who came in to RSPCA care in November.
