Last ward closed by norovirus to re-open

THE remaining ward affected by the norovirus at Peterborough City Hospital is expected to open this afternoon.

Ward A9 (medicine for the elderly) closed at the end of last week after an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug, but should re-open this afternoon after a deep clean.

The other remaining affected ward at the £289 million super hospital, the B6 ward for orthopaedic patients, was due to re-open at 10pm last night.
