Healthcare staff from across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire will be rewarded next week when an annual award ceremony is held during an NHS trust meeting.

Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust is this year incorporating its annual staff innovation and excellence awards into its annual general meeting, being held on Tuesday, September 18, at Huntingdon Racecourse.

As well as launching its annual report and accounts, there will be a ceremony with eight awards given for involving users or carers, leadership, quality, working behind the scenes, going the extra mile, volunteer of the year and promoting dignity in care.

There will also be a presentation of the chairman’s annual innovation award and long-service awards.

Matthew Winn, chief executive of Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, said: “The awards provide an excellent opportunity to celebrate the dedication and commitment of staff from across the geographic areas we provide services including Cambridgeshire, Luton, Peterborough and Suffolk.”
