An elderly woman was flown by air ambulance to hospital after collapsing at home.

The woman was has not been named but was in her 80s collapsed at her Spalding home at about 3pm on Saturday.

Medics with the Magpas Helimedix attended the woman who they say had suffered a serious collapse and was struggling with breathing difficulties.

A Magpas spokeswoman said: “The Magpas team provided the patient with specialist care, whilst working alongside an EMAS Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew and Rapid Response Paramedic, together with a Community First Responder.

“The Helimedix then flew the woman to Lincoln Hospital.

“On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.”
