The housing association Cross Keys Homes will be holding events across Peterborough next week for the national ‘Get Online Week 2016’.

Having helped over 150 people get online with its ‘Learn My Way’ IT course, Cross Keys hopes to reach more digitally excluded individuals to show them the benefits of being on the internet.

Cross Keys will be offering a number of sessions across the city to help people gain basic online skills and knowledge. The sessions will also give people an introduction to their Learn My Way courses.

The sessions are available for complete beginners to those who have some knowledge of using the internet, but want to gain more confidence.

Cherie Titchener, Cross Keys Homes’ tenancy sustainability manager, said: “We’re running these sessions to reach people who do not realise the benefits they can get from being online.

“We hope to be able to show individuals that taking that first step online isn’t as daunting as it may seem to those who have never used a computer before.”

The free sessions are taking place on Tuesday, March 8, 10 to 11am at Orton Library, Bushfield, and the following day from 11am to midday at Peterborough Rainbow Savers Credit Union shop, Cattle Market Road.
