The first of a series of ‘Silver Sunday’ events for people aged 50 and above begins this week.

Free activities are taking place at the Manor Leisure Centre in Station Road, Whittlesey, including New Age Kurling and Spiral Pilates.

The events take place on Sunday March 8 from noon-4pm. The activities are being laid on by Fenland District Council’s Golden Age and New Vision Fitness leisure teams.

Participants will be able to have a health MoT, including having their blood pressure tested and free tea, coffee and cakes will also be provided.

Similar events are planned at Chatteris Leisure (June 14), the Hudson Centre, Wisbech (October 4) and the George Campbell Centre, March (December 13).
