People with a burning desire to serve their communities can find out more about joining Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue at two recruitment days this month.
The challenge of being an on-call firefighter will be explained at Kirton Fire Station, Station Road, Kirton, on Saturday from 10am until 2pm when serving retained firefighrers will be available to speak to about the role.
A recruiment day will also take place at Crowland Fire Station on Sunday, June 12, from 11am until 2pm, when people will have the chance to be shown round a fire engine and try out some of the equipment.
Sean Compton of Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “If you live or work in Kirton, Crowland or the surrounding areas then come along and see if you’ve got what it takes to be an on-call firefighter.
“You don’t have to stay long, just give some of the activities a go and take up the opportunity to talk to some of the crew.
“But if you’re interested in finding out more and aren’t able to attend either date, just pop in to your local station for a chat.
