Youngsters improve their skills with Man U's help

HAMPTON'S youngsters took their first steps to helping Manchester United go one better than their disappointing Champions League loss in Rome last week.

HAMPTON'S youngsters took their first steps to helping Manchester United go one better than their disappointing Champions League loss in Rome last week.Children from across the township joined coaches from Manchester United at the annual soccer school, held at the Beaumont Way sports pitches last week.

And while the Red Devils suffered heartache in Rome, losing 2-0 to Barcelona in the Champions League final, the children in Peterborough were showing off their talent and improving their skills at the two-day event.

The Manchester United Soccer Schools visit a number of locations across the country throughout the year, with the Peterborough school one of the biggest.

The Manchester United Academy was set up in 1999, and, since then, more than 100,000 children have taken part in activities across the world.
