Moor Farm Shop are regulars at the Peterborough Famers' Market on the second and fourth Thursday every month. They offer free range, home-grown beef and lamb as well as other local produce at www.moor-farm.com.

Hill Farm offers pick-your-own strawberries plus other seasonal fruit and veg and Moor Farm meat. Open Tuesday to Sundays from June to October.

Supermarkets that stock local food:

Most supermarkets offer some local produce, although the definition of 'local' varies between stores. Most define a product "local" if it is made within a 30-mile radius of the branch where it is sold.

Waitrose offers a wide selection of local produce in their Peterborough store, which is in Queensgate. Look out for Watergull Orchards Apple Juice, Norfolk Ice Cream, and Elgood's Black Dog Beer.

Sainsbury's offers strawberries from East Anglia, turnips and onions from Cambridgeshire, as well as milk and cheese from local farms.
