Sacrewell Farm: half-term fun
IF you're planning ahead for half-term, then look no further than Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre.
IF you're planning ahead for half-term, then look no further than Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre.Holiday activities kick off with a tree planting event on Saturday, where visitors are invited to bring a spade and plant a tree in the new Sacrewell Wood, between 9.30am and 1pm.
As well as meeting the farm's friendly animals, children can then get involved in activities such as tractor and trailer rides, pony grooming, shire horse cart rides (on selected days) and animal feeding with a ranger.
And as the first few signs of spring begin to show, the farm is expecting baby chicks to start emerging into the light of day.
Visitors will be able to keep warm in Sacrewell Farm's heated activity barn, where children can play in the soft play area and ride around on the mini tractors.
And just in time for half term, the farm's onsite restaurant will be launching a munch crunch menu.
The farm's catering manager Jo Williams said: "We understand that after Christmas people still feel the pinch in their wallets so we've designed a tasty budget menu to help out with this!"
So rain or shine, stick on your wellies and come and experience an action packed day at Sacrewell Farm.
Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre is situated just off the A1, to the north of Peterborough. It's open from 9.30am to 5pm.
For more information, call 01780 782254. There's a minimum donation of 5 at the door from 7.30pm on Saturday.
