Over-50s club holds a belated new year bash
A SOCIAL group for over-50s rang in the new year a little later than most at its annual party in Moulton.
A SOCIAL group for over-50s rang in the new year a little later than most at its annual party in Moulton.The Silver Thread Club, which meets every two weeks at the village’s community centre, enjoyed a bite to eat and a chat at the yearly bash.
Treasurer Daisy Balchin said: “It was a lovely event. We had fewer people than usual because of all the illness that is about, but we still had a good time.”
The club is open to anyone over 50 from Moulton and the surrounding area, and meetings are held at 2.15pm every other Thursday at the community centre in Broad Lane.
It hosts guest speakers and bingo sessions, and members regularly enjoy group outings together.
