Scores of people flocked to the village of Holme near Peterborough this weekend to step back in time to the 1940s.

Holmewood Hall in the village was hosting a special event titled ‘Life on the Holme Front’ throughout Saturday and Sunday.

The event included a wide range of attractions including tank rides, vintage vehicle displays and exhibitions at the hall and around the village.

There was also a special flypast made by a Dakota plane from the Battle of Britain.

Dozens of guests arrived at the venue in period costume and took part in fun and games from the era.

For the full story see this week’s Peterborough Telegraph.
