The ET's ninth annual Education Awards gives you the chance to pay tribute to the dedicated staff involved in education across Peterborough and surrounding area, as well as pupils who have excelled themselves or exceeded expectations. IF your child's life has been touched by a tremendous teacher, or your school really couldn't function without its dedicated support staff, now is the time to give them the recognition they deserve.
We want to hear about anyone, be it teachers, caretakers or cleaners, who go the extra mile and deserve some praise, as well as sporting teams or individuals who have surpassed expectations and pupils who have achieved excellence in the arts and design and technology.
As well as a public thank-you, the winner in each category will scoop a fantastic 500 prize, which will be handed out at a glittering awards ceremony to be held at The Key Theatre, in Peterborough, on Thursday, 9th July.

Education Awards 2008
Receiving, or even being nominated for an award can be an enormous honour, as deputy headteacher of Hampton Hargate Primary School, in Peterborough, Sarah Moss knows.
Last year Sarah and her colleague Martin Bramley took home the award for outstanding support for pupils with special needs.
The pair had been nominated for the work they did to help Hampton pupil Ricky Taylor – who has mild cerebral palsy and autism – get the most from his school days.
Sarah said: "We were both really shocked to win the award, and obviously it was lovely.
"We were really really touched by it, and the little boy who wrote in did it all off his own back. He went to his mum and asked if it was possible to nominate us, which was really touching.
"I thought it was a lovely evening, it's quite humbling when you see the work other schools do and the other people who collect the awards."
In the year that has passed since the awards, young Ricky, who is now 10 and in Year 5, has continued to do well at the school.
Sarah said: "He's worked very hard this year and made good progress."
ET editor Mark Edwards said: "The ET is delighted to be hosting the Education Awards for the ninth time.
"All too often, the hard work of those at schools and the achievements of pupils themselves are overlooked, and this is an opportunity to recognise those who deserve our praise.
"It is fantastic to be able to celebrate the work and accomplishments of all members of a school community.
"What is particularly great about the awards is that every entry is judged on its individual merit, and so it doesn't matter how big or small a school is, they all have the same chance to take home the prize on the night."
