Tom Zhang (18), Tony Huang (16), Jason Leung (17) and Boris Videnov (17) came a close second in the regional stages of the competition and went through as one of 10 best runners-up.
The contest, which is in its first full year, features a range of mathematical questions and puzzles, including a cross-number quiz and a mini-maths relay.
Maths teacher Karl Hayward Bradley said: “The field of teams in the Cambridge region was exceptionally strong, and the team performed very well indeed.
“The standard will be higher still in the national final, and the Oundle squad will need to be on top mathematical form.”
The final of the competition, run jointly by the United Kingdom Maths Trust and the Further Mathematics Network, takes place on Tuesday, February 3.
