Brownies and Cubs meet up

CUBS and Brownies will hold meetings in Hampton this week.

CUBS and Brownies will hold meetings in Hampton this week.The 17th Nene Cubs meet on Thursdays during term time, between 6pm and 7pm.

The get-togethers take place at the Hampton Hargate Community Room, in Hargate Way,

and are open to girls and boys aged between eight and 10.

The 1st Hampton Hargate Brownies meet on Wednesdays, at 6pm, at Hampton Hargate

Primary School. The group is open to girls aged seven to 11.

Institute ready to meet tonight

HAMPTON Women’s Institute (WI) will be holding a meeting tonight.

The group’s meetings are open to all women across the community, and are held on the third

Thursday of each month.

The WI meetings take place at Hampton College, between 7pm and 9pm, and cover a wide

variety of topics.

Parish pressure group to talk

HAMPTON Parish Steering Group is working to set up a parish council, and will meet at

the Mobility Office in Serpentine Green next week.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, from 7pm, and all are welcome to put their

views across about the proposal.

Reserve bat walk postponed

A walk looking at the bat population living at Hampton Nature Reserve has been postponed.

The Bat Walk planned for tomorrow has been postponed until Friday, September 11.

Sign groups up for new website

COMMUNITY groups in Hampton are being urged to send their details to add to a community website.

The www.yourhampton.net website has been set up by Nikki Jessop, and has 100

members, posting information about activities, events and other issues in the township.

Reading time for toddlers

READING sessions for toddlers will be held at Hampton Library next week.

There will be two sessions held at the library in the health centre at Serpentine Green

shopping centre.

The first session will take place on Tuesday, from 10.15am to 10.45am, and the second is on

Friday, between 2.30pm and 3pm.
