Fashion retailer FatFace in Peterborough’s Queensgate has raised £889 for the Free Kicks Foundation, which provides football-related activities for ill and disadvantaged children,

The funds were raised as part of a national campaign which took place on Black Friday.

Instead of offering a discount to shoppers, FatFace donated 10 per cent of its net profits to charities.

Store manager at FatFace in Queensgate, Stevie Casson, said: “I feel proud to work for a company that believes in giving something back.

“This has been a fantastic initiative and we’re so excited to be able to give the Free Kicks Foundation such a significant amount of money.

“They provide amazing football days out for deserving children and young adults, which can make such a difference to them and gives them a truly memorable experience.

“I want to thank all of our customers that purchased from our store over that weekend as they have made such a positive change in helping this small local charity.”
