The Peterborough Museum is located in centre of the city and hosts a variety of events and exhibitions in and out of its home, a grand Georgian house dating back to 1816 in Priestgate.The museum has exhibitions on the history of Peterborough, guided walks around the city, included the popular Ghost Walks, descirbed as "Stalk the streets with our costumed guide to discover the eerie secrets of the city, from phantom monks to ghostly children; from a slaughtered Cavalier to a phantom lorry!" There is also a Museum Shop, and it host various talks and lectures.

Opening hours
Mondays Closed, except Peterborough school holidays, open 10am - 5pm;
Tuesdays - Saturdays 10am - 5pm;
Sunday 12 noon - 4pm; Mondays (Peterborough school term)
Bank Holiday Mondays 12 noon - 4pm.
Groups and individual visitors can be accommodated outside these hours by prior arrangement.
